Project overview

“Still, It Leaks” was an exhibition I co-curated and designed for the opening of the Living Waters Museum’s Ahmedabad Chapter. A large part of the project involved research, with my personal lens as a curator focusing on the story of water through gendered labour and how authority shapes our relationship with water and the spaces around it.

An important part of my process was conducting a workshop in collaboration with the queer community at NID, bringing different perspectives into the exhibition. The spatial design and visual identity were developed keeping Ahmedabad’s historic spaces and their relationship with water in mind.

The exhibition opened with a screening of Sabarmati and Its Lovers, followed by a panel discussion with its director, Dhananjai Sinha. We also hosted a podcast featuring Mansi Shah, Navdeep Mathur and Riyaz Tayyibji.

The project was co-curated with Aleena Patil, Anoushka Rungta and Prachi Sahasrabudhe.
