KING (2026)

I worked on King (2026), directed by Siddharth Anand and featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, under production designer Amrita Mahal. The set was built for a music video sequence set in Cape Town, created specifically to shoot patchwork portions of the video.

One of the most interesting aspects was recreating the visual language of a petrol pump in South Africa through graphics, door proportions, furniture and props, and seeing how these details could transform a space and make it believable as an entirely different place. I worked on sourcing furniture and creating graphics inspired by South African visual culture, and prop dressing.

The shoot was an intense, fast-paced experience, with constant resets and redressing the space in as little as two minutes between shots. It taught me to work quickly, adapt on the go, and understand how the smallest details contribute to building a convincing on-screen world.
